Facilities
The facilities at the centre are provided for the use of all the community. Please respect everything that you find there and look after it as if it was your own, which in many ways they are.
The centre has a comprehensive alarm system linked to the local police and is also covered by CCTV cameras.
Our centre on Grove Lane has the following facilities:
- Prayer Hall
- Separate entrances for ladies and gents
- Prayer Area divided into ladies and gents areas
Main Hall
Used for most activities and for Jummah, Community Iftar’s and Eid Prayers
Office
Used for administration tasks.
Reference Library
Housed in the basement with nearly 2000 books.
Toilets – Ladies and Gents
Two cubicles for the gents and one for the ladies.
Wudo facilities
Two sinks for the gents and one for the ladies
Shower
Housed in the basement
PA System
System links the two main buildings and the basement.
Kitchen
Cooking and storage facilities.
Parking
Grove Lane is residential area with very limited parking facilities. We ask all visitors to please respect the rights of our neighbours for access to their homes. Please do not block the entrance to any of the homes, even for a minute.
Please do not park on the same side as the centre as this is one of the narrowest points in the road and traffic can build up quickly. Parking opposite is fine but please be aware that we have many elderly people who live opposite the centre, some with medical conditions, and they need to be able to park near their homes.
When you are visiting the centre to pick up or drop someone please park sensibly and NOT IN FRONT of the centre. The selfish actions of a few impact on us all.
